We also ensure that our tea comes from growers with excellent track records of fair treatment for all workers, many of which are FAIRTRADE certified and members of the ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP (ETP).

Whole Leaf Loose Tea vs. Teabags

“Whole-leaf tea” means tea that’s primarily made up of whole, unbroken leaves and is not usually brewed in a teabag. When you steep loose-leaf tea, it needs room for leaves to absorb water and expand as they infuse. This allows the water to flow through the leaves and extract a wide range of vitamins, minerals, flavours and aromas thus making a fantastic and memorable cup of tea
Teabags are usually made from dust and fannings (smaller pieces of tea). When you steep tea in a teabag, its infusion is limited by the size of the teabag. For many years, the teabag industry has had to adapt tea to the teabag. By filling teabags with smaller particles of tea (rather than whole leaves), it has been cheap, easy and good enough for your average “milk and sugar” tea drinker, so it was successful. However that’s all changing in the UK and customers are now demanding a better cup of tea.

How to switch your business to Loose Leaf Tea

Leaf tea can seem overwhelming at first, but with our expert help and a few tips you will find stocking and selling them is easy.
We can help you figure out how you’ll brew and serve your tea. There are lots of choices, from tea pots with built in infusers, reusable infusers that go directly in the cup or pot or we even supply self fill tea sacs which you simply pop in and serve.
Which is the right tea solution for you?

We do not offer a typical standard package as every business has a different vision, customer base and requirements. We will work with you to custom design a solution. However, we would suggest starting off you carry about 25 to 40 different teas, which will make a definite statement that you HAVE TEA and create an overwhelming TEA PRESENCE.

Take a look at our tea pages and browse all the wonderful options, there are over 80 different teas listed and that’s just a small sample of what is ultimately available to you and your business as a customer of The Tea Master Ltd. As one of our valued customers you will access to over 600 speciality teas from around the world.
You could even start selling iced tea, it’s simple to make and your customers will love it because it’s a healthy alternative to heavily sugared sodas and fruit juices, it’s refreshing and it tastes great.

For maximum impact take a look at our Artisan Teas (Flowering Teas) they really create a wow factor as they unfurl in glass teapots, an amazing display to watch as they flower before your eyes and unleash gorgeous flavours and aromas for your customers to taste.
